Thinking

As the summer comes to an end I have been doing some thinking, visiting a different church that I LOVE! I have not let out these feelings to anyone, but I feel like this blog has become my personal diary as of February 14. That day was o so aweful for MANY IN MY TOWN while others were celebrating love with valentines day, we were in the start of grieving. We lost a FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER, HERO, GIRL FRIEND and a TEAM MATE that day.
This song has really affected me along with Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood, which the family played at the funeral!

WHY by Rascal Flatts

It must've been in a place so dark you couldn't feel the light
Reachin' for you through that stormy cloud
Now here we are gathered in our little hometown
This can't be the way you meant to draw a crowd

Oh, why? That's what I keep askin'
Was there anything I could have said or done?
Oh, I had no clue you were masking
A troubled soul, God only knows what went wrong
And why you'd leave the stage in the middle of a song

Now in my mind I keep you frozen as a seventeen year old
Roundin' third to score the winning run
You always played with passion no matter what the game
When you took the stage, you shined just like the sun

Oh, why? That's what I keep askin'
And was there anything I could have said or done?
Oh, I had no clue you were masking
A troubled soul, oh, God only knows what went wrong
And why you'd leave the stage in the middle of a song

Now the oak trees are swayin' in the early autumn breeze
The golden sun is shining on my face
The tangled thoughts I hear a mockingbird sing
This old world really ain't that bad a place

Oh, why? There's no comprehending
And who am I to try to judge or explain?
Oh, but I do have one burning question
Who told you life wasn't worth the fight?
They were wrong, they lied, and now you're gone, and we cried

'Cause it's not like you to walk away in the middle of a song
Your beautiful song, your absolutely beautiful song

I will leave you all today with 3 letters! Not mine! Guess

This is my home! Its has always been perfect! No bad people in the the hood, no break ins, and etc....

Until recentely! We love I do mean love where we live in a golf corse comunity but, when we have bad peeps living around us coming asking us for money so they can do meth and rob others, it is not good and this is not the rep our hood wants!
It is not ok for anyone to rob anyone but, your neighbors? Tell me aint that just wrong?

Derby Wedding?

Yes thats what it was suppose to be but I would like to call it more like a crazy southern wedding!
Well lets see I believe we drove to Nashville 2 times that weekend, plus an early morning trip to Clarksvegas to deliver the wedding dress to the mother of the groom! Yes, they forgot the wedding dress here! Then as soon as we got their and the wedding was over, tornado sirens started going off! So that is why I call it a crazy derby wedding! O and plus this was the weekend of the flood in Tennessee!

Kellys Korner Blog: Show Us Your Life Desserts

Kelly has beeen hosting a show us your life blog thing and this week I decided to participate!!!
Heres the recipe to DESSERT PIZZA
from all recipes

INGREDIENTS
1 (18 ounce) package refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed

2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

1/2 cup white sugar
1 pinch salt
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon orange zest

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Slice cookie dough and arrange on greased pizza pan, overlapping edges. Press dough flat into pan. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Allow to cool.
In a large bowl, soften cream cheese, then fold in the whipped topping. Spread over cooled crust. You can chill for a while at this point, or continue by arranging the fruit.
Begin with strawberries, sliced in half. Arrange in a circle around the outside edge. Continue with fruit of your choice, working towards the middle. If bananas are used, dip them in lemon juice so they don't darken. Then make a sauce to spoon over fruit.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, salt, corn starch, orange juice, lemon juice and water. Cook and stir over medium heat. Bring to a boil, and cook for 1 or 2 minutes, until thickened. Remove from heat, and add grated orange rind. Allow to cool, but not set up. Spoon over fruit. Chill for two hours, then cut into wedges and serve.

ENJOY :)
